Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck)

Abdominoplasty, also known as a “tummy tuck”, is a very effective procedure used to create a slimmer, flatter abdomen.

Weight gain or loss, pregnancy, and poor muscle tone, all cause the stomach to become thicker, saggy, and bulge.   These problems in the midsection often cannot be corrected by diet or exercise and can cause distress for both men and women of all ages.

Tummy tuck surgery removes the excess skin and fat in the abdominal area and tightens the abdominal wall. There are several different ways to perform a tummy tuck depending on your specific body type.   Often a modified procedure or “mini-tuck” is recommended  and either of these procedures may be done in conjunction with liposuction.

During the tummy tuck procedure, an incision is made across the lower abdomen. Fat and excess skin is trimmed away and stomach muscles are tightened giving you a flatter, firmer, more trim waistline.
